There is a huge difference in students that are good with technological devices (games, apps, ect..) to learn and students knowing how to use technology to create a presentation from a blank template. The other presentation tools are great for engagement, but it is easy for the content of the presentation to be lost. Some of my students wanted to immediately use Prezi, but after starting they thought "it was just a bit too much" and ended up using PowerPoint (successfully without needing someone standing next to them for each step) I think it's a great starting point for students! Even more impressive is how the students are learning to speak about a topic using Powerpoint as a jumping off point. I am really proud of them! Thanks for commenting. <br /><br />@ Lorry - It really was interesting that 100% wanted to do it as sometimes technology does not appeal to all. I will say they were engaged and motivated for sure. Their products showed all different levels - those who wanted to add more information or graphics could, and those who just got the basics were fine too!
